For my freestyle Blog I chose to write about Multicultural books. I recently did some extra credit for a class that required me to read a few multicultural children books. I think multicultural books are importnat for Elementary-age students to read. Simple books that just have different racial charachters. Exposing students to different cultures is great and good for creating more culturaly senstive students and children.

I couldn't agree with you more. We live in a nation that was built on many different cultures and more often than not are these cultures ignored in our education system. As the world gets smaller, we must educate our children and be prepared for this new world.
It's very true and sad many children who don't speak English or are cultrually diverse are often forgotten in the classroom or mocked by fellow classmates, it's sad.
